Marvel at the autumn leaves with two drives on the Kancamagus Highway, travel through multiple climate zones on the Mount Washington Cog Railroad, and even learn to cook a Boston Italian meal. Plus, learn our American history firsthand with a stop at the JFK Presidential Library, Boston’s Old South Meeting House, and a tour of Lexington to see Minute Man National Historic Park and Paul Revere’s capture site. This isn’t just a typical tour of New England!

Day 1

Welcome to Boston!

Arrive into Boston, often called "The City on the Hill". After your flight arrives into Boston Logan International Airport and you’ve grabbed your bags, take the complimentary airport shuttle to our hotel for a comfortable overnight stay just outside the historic city. D

Day 2

Boston Tour/Old South Meeting House/JFK Library/Cooking Class

Today we spend a full day in Boston, starting with a panoramic city driving tour before a visit to the Old South Meeting House where the Boston Tea Party began. After lunch on own at Faneuil Hall with time for shopping, we’ll be off to the iconic JFK Presidential Library to learn about the life of America’s 35th President. This evening caps off with a unique cooking class dinner where we’ll learn about Boston’s strong Italian heritage.

Day 3

Lexington American Revolution Tour/Maple Experience

After breakfast, we depart for Lexington, MA for a guided tour of crucial sites surrounding the American Revolution like Minute Man National Historical Park and Paul Revere’s capture site. Then it’s off to the charming downtown of Concord, NH for lunch on own with time for shopping on main street. This afternoon, our group will have a treasured maple syrup stop before an overnight stay. B

Day 4

Scenic Lake Cruise/Museum of WWII/Famous Turkey Dinner

We’re off this morning to beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee for a scenic cruise aboard the MS Mount Washington during the peak of fall foliage. After departing our ship, explore the historic Wright Museum of World War II featuring tanks, jeeps, uniforms, and weaponry. Then tonight we’re in for a real treat! Enjoy a special dinner at the most iconic restaurant in New Hampshire - Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant - where they serve Thanksgiving meals all year round. B, L, D

Day 5

Kancamagus Highway/Mt Washington Cog RR

Today we drive New Hampshire 112, also known as the Kancamagus Highway or "The Kanc”. This 34-mile scenic byway in the White Mountains will provide beautiful views of fall in New England and we’ll even stop at a scenic vista for unbelievable photos. After enjoying lunch on own, our group will climb the second-steepest rack railway in the world on the Mount Washington Cog Railroad. Our ride will traverse multiple climate zones, from forest to alpine tundra. After a group dinner, overnight this evening in Conway. B, D

Day 6

Flume Gorge/The Profile Dining Room/Cannon Mountain Tram

Today, we traverse the Kanc Highway again for more fall views. Then enjoy a two-mile optional walk through Flume Gorge where you’ll see towering 90-ft moss-covered walls and cascading waterfalls. After our walk, experience lunch at The Profile Dining Room with more breathtaking scenery. Then, cap the afternoon off with a trip on the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway that ascends 5,359 feet. On a clear day at the summit, you can see all the way to Canada. After checking in to our Portsmouth hotel, enjoy dinner on own at a local eatery. B, L

Day 7

Maine Lighthouse/Seafood Lunch/Travel Home

After our final breakfast together as a group, we’ll cross into Maine to photograph Cape Neddick Lighthouse (also known as Nubble Light). This lighthouse first illuminated the coast in 1879 and has been one of Maine’s most photographed places ever since. Once we finish taking in Maine’s costal charm, it’s off to a special seafood lunch before we bid farewell to New England in the fall by returning to the Boston airport. B, L
